In the fall of 2003, when I was just about to turn 16, I created a bad website. I called it The Daily Picture. My idea was to end racism by making “funny” pictures in an image-editing program depicting people of “every race and religion.” After a while, my friends stopped contributing pictures, so I also stopped posting, not wanting to look foolish. Nearly a year later, I made the final post, where I condemned the “completely” and “depressingly” racist imitations found on other websites.
I am sorry for making the website. I will always be reminded of the pictures I made.
Racism is bad.
